The highly anticipated sequel to 2013’s survival horror hit by Red Barrels, Outlast 2, has finally been given a release date after the developer decided it was the right time to share the news through its Twitter account.
Horror games and movies are great at satisfying our twisted curiosity of gore and a quick adrenaline fix from jump scares. As someone who doesn’t care for gore romps like Saw, or Peter Jackson’s Dead Alive, or the cheap jump scares of Paranormal Activity and The Conjuring, I usually stay away from horror movies.
Recently I’ve completed my video series of Red Barrels hit horror game Outlast, and posted here you’ll find the final episode. Along with the video, I’ve decided to jot down my impressions of the game in an unofficial review.
In a press release sent out today, Outlast developer Red Barrels made the announcement that the hit horror title will be released on Mac and Linux this Tuesday, March 31st.
That’s right. During an interview with Bloody Disgusting Red Barrels co-founder Philippe Morin revealed the intentions of the studio to bring a sequel to the most terrifying experience from 2013, Outlast.
As an Xbox user, I got pretty excited about this week’s sale. This week the sale is full of a lot of the best hack-and-slash games and RPGs we remember on the 360, and the Xbox One has Outlast. Oh, and you can enjoy them for up to 75% off.
I admit my inadequacies and I have to say it was difficult to limit this to just 10 titles.
