During the Microsoft Special Event stream, they confirmed the highly anticipated game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be releasing in December for Xbox One. Keep reading to view the details.
The game has been an early access title on PC since April, but Microsoft will be publishing Battlegrounds for Xbox One players this holiday season.
One major change from the PC version to the Xbox version is that the Xbox game will run on Microsoft’s internal Azure servers rather than the Amazon servers. This limits the possibility of crossplay, but the possibility was unlikely due to the difference in aiming with a mouse and a controller.
A retail version was announced, and will hopefully come in time for the December 12, release date.
“Xbox One X enhancements like HDR and 4K will also follow some time after launch.”
