Today marks a very important event in the Harry Potter world, and one that all fans can truly look at with wonder. Not only is today September 1st, the day all students board the Hogwarts Express, this is our final written day in Harry Potter.
Today being September 1st 2017 officially marks the Nineteen Years Later prologue that J.K. Rowling wrote at the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Going forward in our Harry Potter fandoms, lives, and wonders – there will not be another penned day in the world.
As many will remember from the emotionally tearful prologue, Albus Severus Potter would have been going on the Hogwarts Express for his first time today, alongside his brother James Sirius Potter. Joining them was Rose Granger-Weasley, and soon to follow were Lily Luna Potter and Hugo Granger-Weasley.
Fans around the world have been celebrating today on social media with the tags, #19yearslater, and even J.K. Rowling herself made a comment about this auspicious day.

While we all have to say goodbye to Hogwarts at some point, we will be living a time where the Harry Potter world has not been penned, and we will potentially never know what happens to Harry Potter and his kin (aside from Cursed Child).
