Indie-Developed Dystoria Launching in February

Dystoria, an action-oriented sci-fi game grounded in story and developed by a two-man studio, is set to release on Steam later next month.

Dystoria is being developed by Tri-Coastal Games, a two-man team from Canada. The duo has been together since 2014 and is nearly ready to release its first title this February 21.

The game, according to a press release, is inspired by movies like Tron and Star Wars as well as Super Mario Galaxy. The teaser trailer, shown below, gives players a quick look at the six-axis, ship-based action they’ll have to learn to master.

The game’s Steam page says that players will need to collect orbs, destroy enemies and get to the exit of each sector in order to win. When Dystoria launches, it will cost $14.99.

My name is Matthew, and I’m an avid gamer. Video games and writing are my two passions. After graduation, I plan to enter the gaming industry as a news writer for a gaming trade publication or a public relations specialist for a publisher. I enjoy playing many different genres of games (though I’m horrible at RTS and brawlers). I try to diversify what I play so I can take in many different ideas, cultures, game and art designs, and aspects of gaming to appreciate it better. I’m a thinker, I love to learn, and I’m here to bring you the latest news and share my opinions through the occasional editorial.
