WWE fans have been waiting for the next release of 2K Games entry in the video game franchise which is going to be WWE2K17, a game that is said to be the “most authentic and realistic WWE experience possible” and it is being showed that the whole arena seems to be available to use during fights.
The gameplay video showcases the different areas where players will be able to fight against their opponents, most of which were available in PSOne/2 versions of SmackDown/SmackDown vs Raw games, but this time, they seem to be more connected to each other than ever before.
It is worth noting that WWE2K17 won’t include the Showcase game mode from previous games, because the developers didn’t have access to all the Superstars they needed to create a good story-arc for Brock Lesnar.
One of the largest and most difficult decisions we made for WWE 2K17 was to forego building a 2K Showcase. We designed and contemplated several Showcase ideas, including options surrounding our cover Superstar, Brock Lesnar, but all of them were not viable due to the many historic WWE Superstars needed but not available for inclusion in the game. In addition, the team is heavily focused on building and delivering great content that fans can enjoy for years to come, while the Showcases only live in games from year to year. In all, we didn’t feel good about creating a Showcase that was not up to our standards and current development vision, so we decided to take that effort and put it into modes our community requests we keep improving: WWE Universe and MyCareer.
There are some improvements for the WWE Universe mode where the developers have added pre and post match attacks, making it unpredictable to know what will happen on any show from SmackDown Live, RAW or NXT, while there’s also the brand new “Promo Engine” which “lets the WWE Superstars express their thoughts and emotions to the WWE Universe and one another.”

This game will release on October 11, 2016 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
