Arrow/Flash Spinoff Casting Call Potentially Reveals Three Heroes

We already know that The CW is getting together its own version of the Justice League for a spinoff series that will be coming -allegedly- by the time of midseason 2016 and will feature Firestorm, The Atom and an undisclosed character played by Caity Lotz (Arrow’s Sara Lance).

Besides these already mentioned characters, Captain Cold will also be in this still untitled spinoff series to Arrow and The Flash, alongside three other heroes, which we don’t know for certain who they are, but now have a description of each one of them thanks to the casting call, which can potentially help us guess who they might be.

These descriptions come from TV Line, and are the following:

THE TRAVELER

Described as a “Han Solo-esque rogue who gets by with his charm, this hero hails from the future, and has journeyed back in time on a secret mission. His razor-sharp wit hides the pain of a man who has lived through serious conflict. He also harbors many secrets, always leaving both his teammates and the audience unsure of his true allegiances.

FEMALE WARRIOR

This twentysomething Latina is pretty but unassuming, book smart and socially awkward by day. But by night, when she hears the cry of battle, her fury is ignited and she becomes a fierce warrior — so much so, that sometimes she can become a threat to others.

MYSTERY HERO

An African-American male in his twenties will fill the role of a regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the situations.

The guesses are many, TV Line itself brings some quite nice and probably ones that include Rip Hunter & Booster Gold for “The Traveler”, a cross between Fury aka Helena Kosmatos and Yolanda Montez (Wildcat) for the “Female Warrior” and Virgil Ovid Hawkins &  Black Lightning or even Black Vulcan for the “Mystery Hero”.

What do you think? Do you have any other guesses about these three heroes?

But that’s not the only thing we learned, as Caity Lotz finally talked a little bit about the role she will be taking in this show, given how her role as Sara Lance aka Canary was killed at the beginning of the third season of Arrow, which has raised many questions about her role in this upcoming show.

There are plenty of different theories about Sara Lance’s character, with the most believable and possible one keeping in consideration the Lazarus Pit, which can heal the sick and ressurect the dead, making it possible for Canary to return; and Lotz gave some answers to fans who attended Wizard World Chicago about this.

Sara Lance definitely died in Episode 1 of Season 3 — oh, spoiler alert! Sorry if you’re not caught up. And then…has anybody heard about the spinoff? So there is a new show in development and I’m so excited to finally be able to talk about this. The Atom, Firestorm, my character and, so I guess that is a big thing that’s going on and everyone keeps asking me when they see on the Internet, ‘Well, you’re dead. How are you going to be in the new show? Is it just going to be flashbacks or are you playing a whole new character? Are you Sara Lance? I would love to tell you, btu I think they might kill me.

But obviously, there’s this thing in comics where characters just never stay dead, something that the moderators at the panel suggested, to which Lotz said:

How many times have I died already? Sara Lance has died, I think three times, so you never know.

That’s quite the answer we were looking for, isn’t it?
