It has been a while since the last time we saw a game that looks as beautiful as Hunger does, even with the game being some sort of horror game that the developer, Tarsier Studios, has called an “adventure-suspense” game, it does keep a sort of cute interface while it being quite creepy at the same time.
Hunger tells the story of a girl named Six and her attempts to escape the strange world of The Maw, which is a labyrinth full of monsters; so, for obvious reasons, Six has to escape this place as soon as possible.
It will be your job to help her do this. It’s a genre we’re calling ‘suspense-adventure’, on account of the fact that there will be plenty of both. Coupled with an unnerving ‘Dollhouse Perspective’, tactile controls, and characters with soft, dark centres, Hunger will take your hand and let it go at the worst possible moment!
Reads the latest developer blog for the game.
In case that wasn’t enough, let’s check out some of the images released by the developer as well.
The game entered its development stages last summer thanks to some funding the developer secured from the Creative Europe Programme, Hunger -an odd name for a game that doesn’t seem to have anything to do with “hunger” at all- is heading to PC, PlayStation 4 and possibly other unconfirmed platforms, even though, there’s no release date as of yet.
What do you think of this game?
