The Witcher series are widely known for including some sexually explicit content throughout its different games, but this might be a first, as the third installment in the series, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, does include a total of 16 hours of sex scene motion capture data.
Apparently, for a game of the dimensions of The Witcher 3, 16 hours of motion capture data for sex scenes is the rule, as CD Projekt RED has exactly that amount of data in their upcoming game, according to The Guardian.
With the game even opening with one sex scene between Geralt and Yennefer, you are certainly in for a treat while going through the story of the game, but don’t fall in the mistake of thinking that this is just some sort of marketing campaign, because, as it has been explained by the studio, there’s a reason for having these scenes.
We are establishing that your character was intimate with this woman recently in order to plant in your mind, that, at the very least, he must enjoy her company, through sex we have shown that this is a person who Geralt would be compelled to chase after if she went missing.
Said The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Senior Game Designer Damien Monhier.
What do you think of this amount of work for sex scenes in the game?
