Xbox One Day One Sales hit 1 Million

Xbox One Day One Sales hit 1 Million

Something that was sort of predictable has happened. As it was the case with Sony’s PlayStation 4, Microsoft’s Xbox One has broken the 1 million sales of the console.

Microsoft launched its next-generation console at the mere beginning of Friday in 13 markets, unlike the PlayStation 4, which got released for the US and Canada, exclusively one week earlier, and which will launch for Europe and Latin America on November 29;  and Microsoft has named this launch the “biggest launch in Xbox history” as it has surpassed the sales Microsoft got back in 2005 with the launch of the Xbox 360.

According to Microsoft, the Xbox One is sold out at most retailers, and that they will be working on filling those shelves back for Christmas.

Check out information on the issues customers are having with their launch day Xbox One consoles here.

  1. Congratulations to both Sony and Microsoft for having very successful launches :]

  2. If Sony sold 1 million from just the US and Canada, I cannot wait to see the numbers after Nov 29th. It makes Microsoft’s numbers pale in comparison if they were in 13 markets and also sold 1 million.

    • I hear you there, to compare 2 markets to 13 is to say quite a lot when it comes to sales numbers
